How To Apply Lipstick Perfectly
Moisturize your lips First-
Never apply lipstick without prepping beforehand. Flaky, dry lips are no one’s best friend, let alone your lip colors. Start exfoliating your lips with a gentle lip scrub to keep them healthy and the dead skin at bay. After exfoliating, moisturize them with a lip balm or a hydrating lip primer.
Fill lips with liner
Lip liners can do so much more than just obviously line lips. It helps in defining your lip’s shapes, gives a fuller look, and also amplifies the lip hue. If you want subtle or bold, work it up accordingly. To pick an accurate lip liner, opt for a shade that’s a little deeper than the shade of your lips. Start by tracing the line of your lips. Create a small shadow by filling in the center of the bottom lip to get an illusion of a fuller, youthful, perfected-looking pout. If you don’t have a matching lipliner with your lipstick. You can apply nude shade lip liner. A nude lip liner works on every lip color.
Pick you shade
Knowing your skin’s undertone will help you choose the right lipstick. There are three kinds of undertones, i.e., cool, warm, and neutral. For cool undertones, you can use mocha, pink, ruby, or wine shades. For warm undertones, you can use pale pink, peachy, nude, or copper lip shades.
Time To Apply Lipstick
Choose a concealer shade that matches your lip color and dab a little on it with a flat brush or a small fluffy brush. Apply some compact over this to seal the base. It also helps your lip color to stay on longer.
To define your natural lip line and to prevent your lipstick from getting messy, use a good lip liner to define, reshape and perfect the contours of the lips.
start by applying the lipstick on the center of your upper lip, just below the Cupid’s bow. You can apply the lipstick straight from the tube or the applicator if using a liquid lipstick, or use a lipstick brush for a more precise application. If you are a beginner, we recommend ditching the lipstick brush and going straight in with the product. Now swipe the lipstick across your upper lip from the center to both corners, till the entire lip is covered.
Repeat the same procedure on the bottom lip, starting from the center and working your way toward the corners. Avoid going over your lips with multiple swipes of lipstick as this could cause the product to build up and make your lips look patchy and cakey. Too much product on the lips could also cause the lipstick to crack or bleed outside your lips.
